## About the role Rhombus Power delivers AI‑powered predictive intelligence for defense and national security. As a Data Engineer you will join a cross‑disciplinary team building mission‑critical data platforms that enable real‑time decision making for government clients. ## What you'll do - Develop code in Python, Java, Shell, etc., to automate data ingestion and improve data management. - Architect and stand up data repositories on AWS, building pipelines for extraction, transformation, and aggregation. - Extract raw data from APIs, SQL stored procedures, and Python scripts; ensure data quality, governance, and metadata management. - Collaborate with analysts, data scientists, and developers in an agile environment, communicating status and results to leadership. - Travel to client sites to discuss pipeline design, solutioning, and maintain strong client relationships. ## Required qualifications - Bachelor’s (or higher) in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with at least 1 year of professional experience. - Strong proficiency in Python, Pandas, NumPy and solid experience with SQL and AWS cloud services. - Experience building and maintaining ETL pipelines and working with relational/noSQL stores (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB). - Familiarity with software development lifecycle, testing, documentation, and support. - Knowledge of data modeling, query optimization, and exposure to ML frameworks such as TensorFlow or Scikit‑Learn. - U.S. citizenship; active Secret or Top Secret clearance is a plus. ## Benefits - Full medical, dental, and vision coverage for employee and dependents. - 401(k) matching program. - Paid time off, holidays, and flexible work arrangements. - Bonus and incentive programs, mental‑health resources, and flexible spending accounts. - Inclusive, fast‑paced startup culture with opportunities for rapid growth.
