## About the Role Freddie Mac’s Automation team within the Internal Audit division is seeking a Software Engineer Associate. In this role you will collaborate with stakeholders to develop, enhance, and implement automation and data‑analytics solutions that support control‑testing processes. You will be responsible for translating business requirements into high‑quality code, ensuring best practices, and communicating progress and challenges to both technical and non‑technical audiences. ## What You’ll Do - Design, build, and maintain automation scripts and analytics pipelines using R, Python, and SQL. - Implement CI/CD pipelines with tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, Bitbucket, and Spinnaker. - Work with database technologies like Snowflake and PostgreSQL, and manage code repositories using Git and JFrog Artifactory. - Participate in agile ceremonies, collaborate with cross‑functional teams, and contribute to documentation and testing (Cucumber JS unit tests). - Provide continuous monitoring solutions, improve decision‑making workflows, and support risk and compliance initiatives. ## Required Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. - 1‑3 years of experience performing data analytics with R, Python, and/or SQL. - Experience with DevOps tools (CI/CD), Linux command‑line, and version control (Git). - Familiarity with cloud‑based databases (Snowflake, PostgreSQL) and container orchestration (Kubernetes). - Strong written and verbal communication skills, detail‑oriented documentation, and ability to work in an agile environment. ## Benefits Freddie Mac offers a comprehensive total‑rewards package, including competitive compensation, market‑leading benefits, and an annual incentive program. The position’s salary range is $77,000 – $115,000 USD, with additional performance‑based bonuses.
