## About the Role HPE is looking for an OEM Systems Software Engineer I to act as a strategic bridge between OEM and Service Provider customers and HPE’s engineering teams. You will help customers implement solutions on the HPE ProLiant platform and provide design input for future ProLiant products based on real‑world usage. ## What You'll Do - Work directly with OEM and SP customers to resolve issues on ProLiant servers and improve software deliverables such as SPP, iLOrest, and COM. - Identify, debug, and report software bugs; develop test plans, cases, scenarios, traceability matrices and detailed test reports. - Participate in automation core team meetings, design automation frameworks, and test beta‑generation servers. - Conduct feasibility studies, gather requirements for new features, and raise requests with product management. - Collaborate with internal teams, external partners (e.g., Nutanix), NIC and RAID vendors, and implement test processes for HPE DX servers. - Perform OS updates and compatibility verification for RHEL, SUSE, and Ubuntu in UEFI and Secure Boot modes. ## Required Qualifications - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Information Systems, or related field. - Typically 2‑4 years of professional experience. - Strong knowledge of server architecture (Intel/AMD), NICs, NVIDIA GPUs, SSD/HDD, RAID controllers, and x64 systems programming. - Proficiency in Python scripting, Linux administration (RHEL, SUSE, Ubuntu), XML/JSON, REST API integration with iLO (BMC), and UEFI BIOS. - Experience with software testing methodologies, automation, and clear written/verbal communication. ## Benefits - Comprehensive health & wellbeing suite. - Personal and professional development programs. - Inclusive workplace culture with flexibility to manage work and personal needs. - Hybrid work model (average 2 days per week on‑site). - Competitive salary range (USD 71,700 – 165,800) with variable incentives.
