## About the Role Dark Wolf is a defense‑focused data and analytics firm seeking a Junior / Entry‑Level Data Engineer. You will work alongside senior data architects and engineers to build, maintain, and monitor scalable data pipelines in secure, high‑assurance environments. ## Key Responsibilities - Assist in constructing and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines using Python and SQL. - Support data ingestion from structured and unstructured sources into relational (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases. - Perform data profiling, quality checks, and schema validation. - Build, run, and maintain application modules using Docker for deployment. - Execute automated security scanning tools and write unit tests to ensure code quality. - Participate in daily Agile activities, code reviews, and backlog refinement sessions. ## Required Qualifications - US citizenship with an active TS/SCI clearance and Full‑Scope Polygraph. - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred). - 0‑4+ years of data engineering experience (entry‑level). - Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and Bash scripting. - Basic familiarity with Apache Spark, Pandas, and relational/NoSQL databases. - Experience with Docker containers and Agile/Scrum workflows. - Basic knowledge of AWS or Azure data services. ## Desired Skills & Certifications - Experience writing automated SQL and Python unit tests. - Exposure to static code analysis tools such as SonarQube. - AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or AWS Certified Developer (optional). ## Benefits - Competitive salary range of $90k‑$130k (converted to INR LPA). - Full‑time W2 employment with no third‑party staffing agencies. - Opportunity to work on mission‑critical defense and intelligence projects. - Collaborative engineering culture that values hands‑on problem solving.
