## About the Role The SOC Engineer (L2) is responsible for advanced investigation and response activities within a multi‑tenant GPU cloud environment. The role focuses on defense‑in‑depth, zero‑trust architecture, auditability, and regulatory compliance. ## What You'll Do - Investigate escalated incidents from L1 analysts, perform detailed log analysis, threat hunting, malware analysis, and forensic investigations. - Execute containment, eradication, and recovery procedures while correlating events across multiple security platforms. - Develop detection use cases, SIEM/SOAR correlation rules, and fine‑tune security controls to reduce false positives. - Lead incident response activities, perform root‑cause analysis, and mentor L1 analysts. - Work closely with infrastructure, cloud, and application teams, and assist Vulnerability Management in validating and prioritizing exploitable findings. - Implement IAM/RBAC, least‑privilege, micro‑segmentation, secrets/KMS integration, and define secure baselines for OS, containers, and CUDA drivers. - Maintain cloud network security controls (security groups, firewalls, WAF, DDoS protection, EDR, DLP, PIM/PAM) and ensure continuous vulnerability management and audit log integrity. ## Required Qualifications - BE/B‑Tech or equivalent in Computer Science, Electronics & Communication, or related field. - 4–7 years of hands‑on cybersecurity experience, especially in cloud security, zero‑trust, and data privacy within regulated environments. - Strong expertise in SIEM platforms (Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, QRadar) and EDR/XDR tools (Microsoft Defender XDR, CrowdStrike, SentinelOne). - Proficiency with cloud providers (Azure, AWS, GCP), Kubernetes/container security, and incident response/digital forensics. - Experience with scripting/query languages such as KQL and Python, and familiarity with SOAR automation workflows. - Relevant certifications (CISSP, CISM/CISA, CCSP, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer, SC‑200/SC‑300, AZ‑500, GCIH, GCIA, CEH, CompTIA CySA+). ## Benefits Details on compensation, benefits, and additional perks were not provided in the job posting.
