## About the role UPS is looking for a Senior Application Developer to design, develop, and support Guidewire applications running on AWS infrastructure. You will be part of a high‑performing engineering team that delivers scalable, reliable insurance solutions while collaborating with infrastructure and product groups. ## What you'll do - Develop and enhance Guidewire PolicyCenter components using Gosu, Rules, Plugins, Batch Jobs, PCF, and integrations. - Build and maintain RESTful services and system integrations, and implement configuration enhancements. - Deploy and manage applications on EC2/ECS/EKS with RDS (SQL Server), handling logging, monitoring, and alerting via CloudWatch. - Contribute to CI/CD pipeline configurations, participate in build validation, deployments, and post‑production checks, and support on‑call rotation for production incidents. - Take part in Agile ceremonies, provide effort estimates, support enhancement planning, and conduct peer code reviews. ## Required qualifications - 6–9 years of application development experience. - Strong expertise in Guidewire PolicyCenter and ClaimCenter. - Proficiency in Java/J2EE and SQL Server. - Hands‑on experience with AWS‑hosted environments and related services. - Familiarity with CI/CD tools, automated deployments, and DevOps practices. ## Benefits UPS offers a supportive, inclusive workplace with opportunities for professional growth, competitive compensation, and a culture that encourages innovation and collaboration.
