## About the role SS&C Technologies is a leading provider of mission‑critical, AI‑powered technology and services for financial services and healthcare organizations. As a Lead Software Engineer / Java Developer, you will design and build scalable, high‑performance software solutions that power our clients' critical operations. ## What you'll do - Design and implement Java applications using multithreading, collections, and design patterns. - Build scalable architectures with Spring Boot, Hibernate, and related frameworks. - Develop and maintain APIs (REST/SOAP) and GraphQL services. - Write efficient SQL queries, optimise databases and work with RDBMS. - Leverage cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and micro‑services principles, including Docker containerisation and Kubernetes orchestration. - Integrate Kafka for event‑driven communication and set up CI pipelines with Jenkins or GitLab CI. - Champion DevOps practices, infrastructure automation, and deployment orchestration. - Lead a team of developers, providing mentorship, code reviews and ensuring best practices. ## Required qualifications - Strong expertise in Java (multithreading, collections, design patterns). - Hands‑on experience with Spring Boot, Hibernate, and API technologies (REST, SOAP, GraphQL). - Proficiency in SQL, RDBMS optimisation, and database design. - Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes). - Experience with Kafka, CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI) and Git version control. - Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills. - Knowledge of financial domains such as mutual funds, retirement funds, or capital markets is a plus. ## Benefits SS&C offers a collaborative environment, continuous learning opportunities, and exposure to cutting‑edge technologies in the financial services sector.
