## About the Role As a Qualcomm Software Engineer you will design, develop, create, modify, and validate embedded and cloud‑edge software, applications, and specialized utility programs that power next‑generation products. You will work closely with systems, hardware, architecture, and test engineers to deliver system‑level software solutions that meet performance requirements. ## Minimum Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field. ## Preferred Qualifications - 1+ year of experience with programming languages such as **C, C++, Java, Python**. - 1+ year of experience with **Database Management Software**. - 1+ year of experience building and consuming **APIs**. - 1+ year of experience using source‑code management tools like **Git, Perforce**, or other SCM systems. ## Principal Duties & Responsibilities - Apply software knowledge to assist in the design, development, and validation of embedded and cloud‑edge software. - Analyze user needs and software requirements, then design and implement small software features. - Participate in coding, unit testing, minor debugging, and integration efforts to keep projects on schedule. - Perform code reviews, regression testing, and issue triaging to ensure code quality. - Collaborate with cross‑functional team members and write technical documentation for software projects. ## Level of Responsibility - Works under supervision with decisions affecting the direct area of work. - Requires verbal and written communication skills to convey routine factual information. - Tasks involve multiple steps, planning, problem‑solving, and prioritization.
