## About the role As an AI Engineer at Jobright.ai you will join a small, fast‑growing team that builds production‑grade AI agents for job seekers. The role is based onsite in the San Francisco Bay Area and offers high ownership, direct impact on product features, and the chance to work at the intersection of AI, agents, and product. ## Responsibilities - Contribute to AI and machine‑learning features for search, recommendations, and personalisation. - Build data preparation, evaluation, and experimentation workflows. - Work with prompts, embeddings, retrieval, structured outputs, and LLM APIs. - Integrate AI capabilities into reliable product and backend systems. - Investigate model quality, latency, and failure cases. - Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and data teams. ## Required qualifications - Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, or a related field. - Strong Python programming skills. - Understanding of machine‑learning, NLP, or information‑retrieval fundamentals. - Familiarity with APIs, Git, debugging, and basic software‑engineering practices. - Ability to work onsite in the SF Bay Area. - Preferred: experience with LLM applications, RAG, embeddings, model evaluation, PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit‑learn, cloud AI services, and building AI prototypes or data pipelines. ## Benefits - Medical, vision, and dental insurance. - 401(k) retirement plan. - Opportunity to shape how people experience AI‑driven job search. - High ownership and impact in a rapidly scaling startup.
