## About the role Lumion is building an AI‑first platform that modernizes trade and technical schools. As a Junior Full Stack Software Engineer you will join a high‑trust, remote‑first team that values open context, low ego, and rapid learning. You’ll work on a product that spans the entire student lifecycle—from lead capture to enrollment, tuition payments, compliance, graduation, and career tracking. ## What you'll do - Develop backend business logic, data models, APIs, and integrations using PHP 8.4+, Laravel 12+, and MySQL/Redis. - Build customer‑facing interfaces with JavaScript, Tailwind CSS, Livewire, and Blade. - Write automated tests (Pest PHP) and maintain version‑controlled code. - Leverage AI tools such as Claude Code and Codex in daily workflows to accelerate development and become a “100x developer”. - Participate across the product lifecycle, collaborating with engineering, product, and business teams, and wear multiple hats in a fast‑moving startup environment. ## Required qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent) completed before start date; current students graduating soon are also welcome. - Demonstrated programming experience via capstone projects, internships, open‑source contributions, freelance work, or personal projects. - Proficiency in at least one programming language (PHP preferred) and solid understanding of web fundamentals: HTTP, APIs, authentication, databases, browser interfaces, version control, and automated testing. - Strong logical problem‑solving skills and product judgment. - Ability to work remotely in the United States and overlap at least six hours with the Salt Lake City team. ## Benefits - Competitive salary: $80k–$100k USD (≈ 66–83 LPA) plus equity and quarterly performance bonuses. - Unlimited paid time off, 401(k) retirement plan, and health/dental/vision reimbursement up to $537.50/month. - Monthly technology stipend ($200) and wellness stipend ($100). - Opportunity to learn AI‑first development practices and influence a growing product from day one. - Remote‑first culture with a collaborative, high‑trust team.
