## About the Role Collins Aerospace, a business of RTX, is looking for an entry‑level Software Engineer I to join its aerospace and defense teams in Marlborough, MA. The position is onsite and requires U.S. citizenship to obtain a DoD Secret clearance. You will work on high‑maturity software engineering processes recognized by the Software Engineering Institute. ## What You'll Do - Participate on cross‑disciplinary product teams using agile development techniques. - Own the full software lifecycle: architecture, design, integration, testing, and field support. - Contribute to model‑driven development, UML and SysML artifacts, and real‑time operating system (Linux/VxWorks) environments. ## What You'll Learn - Exposure to advanced engineering practices, continuous integration, and test‑driven development. - Hands‑on experience with DevOps tools such as Jenkins and automated testing frameworks. - Collaboration with engineers from multiple disciplines in a highly regulated aerospace setting. ## Required Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related STEM field. - Software development experience through internships, co‑ops, or academic projects. - Proficiency in C++ and familiarity with object‑oriented analysis and design (UML/OOA‑D). - Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum), CI/CD pipelines, and real‑time operating systems. ## Benefits & Compensation - Competitive salary range of $57,200 – $108,800 USD (≈ 47 LPA – 90 LPA). - Relocation assistance, comprehensive health benefits, 401(k) match, flexible work schedules, parental leave, and paid time off. - Opportunity to work on cutting‑edge aerospace systems with a focus on security‑cleared projects.
