## About the Role LIXIL is looking for a Data Engineer to join its India team in Gurugram. The role is entry‑level and will be part of a hybrid work arrangement, collaborating with process architects, controlling, data‑warehouse colleagues and analysts to deliver production‑ready data sets. ## Responsibilities - Design and implement a Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold) to transform raw data into curated datasets. - Integrate source systems such as SAP, SQL Server, MySQL, project‑management tools and Google Sheets into Google BigQuery. - Develop high‑performance data pipelines and automation scripts primarily using Python. - Ensure data quality through cleansing, monitoring and proactive error handling. - Build interactive Tableau dashboards directly on BigQuery data. - Implement simple RPA automations and write smart queries for ongoing improvements. - Document technical architecture following the arc42 standard. ## Required Qualifications - Degree in Computer Science, Data Science or a related field. - Strong programming skills in **Python** and **SQL**. - Hands‑on experience with relational databases (e.g., SAP, SQL Server, MySQL) and NoSQL systems. - Proven experience with Google Cloud Platform, especially **Google BigQuery** and **Google Sheets**. - Ability to create visualisations using **Tableau**. - Structured, analytical mindset with a focus on data integrity and performance. ## Desired (Nice‑to‑have) Skills - Familiarity with Medallion Architecture concepts and tools like Google Vertex, App Script or App Sheets. - Basic exposure to supervised machine learning and descriptive data analysis. - Knowledge of RPA tools and the arc42 documentation framework. - A growth mindset and eagerness to learn new technologies alongside senior data‑warehouse professionals.
