## About the role Boeing is looking for an **Associate Software Developer – Java** to join the Boeing Digital Services Technology India team in Bangalore. The role supports product commitments and MVP milestones while providing technical leadership on software projects within the aerospace domain. ## Responsibilities - Collaborate with team members to design, develop, and deliver features for aviation or enterprise systems. - Produce high‑quality, maintainable Java code, unit tests, and participate in code reviews. - Estimate user stories, take part in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and daily stand‑ups. - Work with Product Owner and QA to ensure code meets acceptance criteria and automated tests. - Troubleshoot issues across development, QA, and production environments and contribute to continuous improvement of pipelines and environment stability. ## Required qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. - Hands‑on experience with Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, RESTful services, and object‑oriented design. - Proficiency in SQL (MS SQL) and front‑end technologies such as HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, jQuery, and JavaScript. - Experience with unit‑testing frameworks (JUnit) and familiarity with TDD. - Knowledge of Git, Maven, and CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, GitLab CI). - Ability to work in Windows and Unix/Linux environments and understand authentication mechanisms (SSO, Azure AD). ## Preferred qualifications - Exposure to front‑end frameworks like Angular or React. - Experience with Azure PaaS services (App Services, Blob, Redis) and containerization (Docker). - Familiarity with DevOps practices, automated deployments, and monitoring tools. - Understanding of aviation‑industry standards or large safety‑critical systems is a plus.
