## About the Role We are looking for a Backend Engineer to join our engineering team and help build reliable, scalable, and secure backend systems. You will work closely with frontend engineers, product teams, and other technical stakeholders to develop APIs, services, integrations, and backend features. This role is ideal for an early‑career engineer with strong programming fundamentals who wants to build production‑ready software. ## Key Responsibilities - Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs. - Build RESTful APIs and integrate third‑party services and internal systems. - Work with databases to design efficient schemas, queries, and data models. - Write clean, maintainable, and well‑documented code. - Identify and resolve performance, reliability, and production issues. - Collaborate with frontend engineers, QA, DevOps, and product teams. - Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and continuous improvement. ## Required Skills - Strong programming knowledge in **Java**, **Python**, **Node.js**, or a similar backend language. - Understanding of **REST APIs**, HTTP, JSON, and backend architecture. - Working knowledge of **SQL** and relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL. - Familiarity with **Git** and version control. - Good problem‑solving and analytical skills. ## Nice to Have - Experience with frameworks like **Spring Boot**, **Django**, **FastAPI**, or **Express.js**. - Basic understanding of **Docker** and cloud platforms such as **AWS**, Azure, or Google Cloud. - Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment practices. - Exposure to microservices, caching, message queues, or asynchronous processing.
