## About the Role BeaconFire Inc. is seeking a Junior Java Developer to build scalable, production‑ready Spring Boot microservices. You will work on full‑stack web applications, integrate AI‑driven retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG) pipelines, and collaborate within an Agile Scrum team. ## What You'll Do - Develop web applications using Java 8/17, Spring Boot, SQL/NoSQL databases, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Angular, React.js, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript. - Write clean, maintainable code and conduct thorough testing and code reviews. - Own the full development lifecycle: design, implementation, testing, CI/CD, monitoring, and production deployment. - Create and maintain technical documentation for APIs and deployment procedures. - Implement RAG pipelines with Spring AI, LangChain4j, and vector databases, staying current with AI/LLM best practices. ## Required Qualifications - Proficiency in Java and JavaScript. - Strong understanding of OOP concepts, common APIs, and data structures (Collections, Maps, Lists, Sets). - Experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and basic SQL. - Familiarity with Spring, Maven, and modern front‑end frameworks. - Basic knowledge of AI/LLM concepts and interest in RAG technologies. ## Preferred Qualifications & Benefits - 0‑1 year of practical Java development experience. - Experience with Spring AI, LangChain4j, or vector databases is a plus. - Master's degree in Computer Science (preferred). - Benefits include 401(k), medical, vision, and dental insurance.
