With nearly two decades of industry leadership, Voleon combines world‑class research talent with robust engineering to build high‑performance trading and research platforms. ## What you'll do As a Software Engineer you will design, develop, and maintain scalable, high‑performance software that powers our trading infrastructure, data pipelines, and model development workflows. You will collaborate closely with traders, quantitative researchers, and senior engineers, taking projects from requirements gathering through design, implementation, and deployment. The role involves working on performance‑critical systems in a Linux environment and contributing to modern deployment tooling. ## Required qualifications - Experience (or strong academic exposure) with Linux, focusing on performance, concurrency, and correctness using languages such as Python, R, Java, Go, and C/C++. - Proven backend engineering skills, including work with databases, large‑scale data processing, and highly available services. - Ability to design, develop, and deploy back‑end applications from specifications. - Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities for cross‑functional teamwork. - Familiarity with modern build and deployment tools (e.g., Kubernetes, Bazel) is a plus. - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (graduating class of 2027) and authorization to work in the United States. ## Benefits Voleon offers a highly competitive compensation package, including a base salary ranging from $175K to $210K per year, along with comprehensive benefits, technology talks, a modern office with daily catered lunches, and mentorship from internationally recognized AI/ML experts.
