## About the role MetLife’s EMEA Technology organization is looking for a Software Platform Engineer I to join its team in Pune. The role focuses on full‑stack development, primarily using Java and Angular/TypeScript, to design, build, and maintain platform solutions that support MetLife’s digital transformation initiatives. ## Key responsibilities - Design and implement front‑end features with Angular and TypeScript, ensuring maintainability and performance. - Develop and maintain back‑end services using Java, Kotlin, and the Spring Boot framework. - Build, consume, and document RESTful APIs; work with CI/CD pipelines, Gradle/Maven builds, and Docker image delivery. - Contribute to cloud‑native development on Azure, including containerisation (Podman, AKS) and Azure DevOps board management. - Collaborate with QA, DevOps, and product teams to troubleshoot integration issues, support releases, and improve code quality through testing and code‑review practices. ## Required qualifications - Strong hands‑on experience with Angular, TypeScript, Java, Kotlin, and Spring Boot. - Familiarity with RESTful API design, NodeJS, MSSQL, and build tools such as Gradle and Maven. - Experience working on Linux command‑line environments and using version‑control platforms like GitHub (including Copilot and Enterprise). - Knowledge of Azure cloud services, containerisation (Docker, Podman, AKS), and CI/CD pipeline setup. - Good communication and collaboration skills; ability to work in a global, multicultural team. ## Benefits MetLife offers a collaborative environment focused on continuous learning, career growth, and exposure to modern technology stacks.
