## About the Role TikTok USDS Joint Venture is looking for a Software Engineer Graduate to join the Tech and Product team. You will help design, build, and maintain highly scalable, reliable, and secure backend systems that power core product features such as Recommendations, Search, and E‑Commerce while ensuring strict data‑security and privacy standards for U.S. users. ## What You'll Do - Design, develop, test, and deploy production‑grade backend microservices and distributed systems. - Continuously optimise performance, latency, memory utilisation, and resource efficiency. - Build robust monitoring, logging, and fault‑tolerant mechanisms to guarantee high system availability. - Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to implement compliance pipelines and improve overall system reliability. ## Required Qualifications - Currently completing or recently completed a Bachelor’s/Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Statistics, or a related field. - Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, computer systems, and software design. - Proficient in at least one modern programming language: Go, C++, Java, or Python. - Preferred: experience with high‑concurrency systems, distributed databases, RPC frameworks, message queues (Kafka, RocketMQ), or big‑data platforms; prior technical internship at a top tech company or competitive programming achievements. ## Benefits & Compensation - Base salary range: $122,574 – $187,200 annually (≈ ₹101.7 LPA – ₹155.4 LPA). - Day‑one medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k) with company match, paid parental leave, disability and life insurance, wellbeing benefits. - 10 paid holidays, 10 sick days, and 17 paid personal days per year (prorated). - Fully on‑site work model (up to 5 days a week) to foster rapid decision‑making and team alignment. ## Why Join TikTok USDS TikTok’s mission is to inspire creativity and bring joy.
