## About the role Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) is looking for a Systems Platform QA and AI Engineer to join its Hybrid Cloud team. The role focuses on driving quality engineering for enterprise storage platforms, covering hardware‑software interactions across firmware, BIOS, BMC/iLO, operating systems, kernels, device drivers, storage protocols, and platform software. ## What you’ll do - Design and develop scalable automation frameworks and tools, primarily using **Python**, to improve test coverage, system validation, debugging, and productivity. - Apply strong troubleshooting skills to analyze interactions between system layers in large‑scale enterprise storage environments, providing timely root‑cause analysis. - Incorporate AI/ML‑based approaches (e.g., failure analysis, test optimization, anomaly detection, workflow automation) to solve complex engineering and quality problems. - Build reusable tools that enhance engineering productivity, test effectiveness, and observability. - Promote a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and mentorship within the team. ## Required qualifications - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. - **3‑5 years** of experience with enterprise storage systems or comparable large‑scale distributed systems. - Strong programming skills in **Python**. - Solid understanding of testing fundamentals, debugging, and automation design. - Good knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems. - Demonstrated experience in customer issue resolution, system debugging, and cross‑functional engineering collaboration. ## Preferred skills - Expertise in enterprise storage hardware, firmware, drivers, and platform software layers. - Proven experience building automation frameworks, tools, and test systems. - Experience applying AI/ML techniques (including Gen AI/LLMs, prompt engineering) to engineering or quality challenges. - Strong problem‑solving mindset with a QA/system‑thinking approach. - Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, collaboration, and communication skills. - Interest in mentoring and knowledge sharing. ## Benefits HPE offers a flexible work environment, opportunities for career growth, a culture that values diverse backgrounds, and the ability to work remotely while contributing to cutting‑edge cloud and storage technologies.
