DevOps Engineer

## About the Role Biz2X is looking for a DevOps Engineer to design, build, and maintain secure, scalable, and highly‑available cloud infrastructure on AWS. You will work closely with software engineering teams to define deployment requirements and ensure smooth, automated delivery pipelines. ## Responsibilities - Design and implement AWS infrastructure (VPC, EC2, IAM, EKS, CloudFront, S3, CloudFormation, Lambda) as code. - Provision, configure, and maintain cloud resources using Terraform and CloudFormation. - Administer Linux‑based systems, write UNIX shell and Python scripts for automation. - Build and maintain operational tools for deployment, monitoring, and cost optimisation. - Troubleshoot issues across services, networking, and security compliance. - Develop CI/CD pipelines with Docker, GitHub, Jenkins, and Ansible. ## Required Qualifications - 3‑6 years of hands‑on experience with UNIX shell scripting and Python for DevOps automation. - At least 3 years of experience building and maintaining AWS environments, including VPC, EC2, IAM, EKS, CloudFront, S3, CloudFormation, and Lambda. - Strong understanding of AWS security best practices and compliance. - Proven experience with Terraform for infrastructure‑as‑code. - Solid foundation in networking, Linux administration, and containerisation (Docker). - Familiarity with Git, Jenkins, Ansible, and CI/CD concepts. - Ability to learn and adopt a wide variety of open‑source tools quickly. ## Core Competence / Skills - AWS (VPC, EC2, EKS, CloudFormation, Lambda, S3, IAM) - Terraform - Python & UNIX shell scripting - Docker & container orchestration - Jenkins & GitHub CI/CD pipelines - Ansible configuration management - Linux system administration - Networking fundamentals
