## About the role Klarixa AI (a subsidiary of Pharma Tek Solutions, USA) is hiring a Backend Developer to build core systems behind a category-defining AI product. Working directly with the founding team in a lean pod structure, you will design, ship, and iterate quickly without administrative overhead. This is an AI-native engineering organization where fluency with modern AI development tools and workflows is part of the daily culture. ## What you'll do - Design, build, and scale backend microservices and core platform infrastructure. - Write clean, production-grade Python services using FastAPI and other modern frameworks. - Build and optimize RESTful APIs and WebSocket services for real-time workflows. - Own the PostgreSQL data layer including schema design, query optimization, and scaling decisions. - Deploy and maintain containerized applications using Docker and AWS (EC2, ALB, S3, Route 53). - Build and harden CI/CD pipelines to support frequent daily deployments. ## Required qualifications - 4-8 years of hands-on backend engineering experience building and scaling production systems. - Deep hands-on expertise with Python and FastAPI (or Django/Flask). - Strong understanding of microservices architecture, system design, and distributed systems. - Proven experience with PostgreSQL, schema design, and query optimization. - Hands-on experience with AI/LLM technologies (APIs, RAG, agentic workflows) and cloud infrastructure (AWS, Docker, CI/CD). - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related engineering field preferred. ## Benefits - Competitive salary with Day-0 equity ownership. - Direct access to founders with no middle management layers. - High-autonomy work environment equipped with modern AI dev tooling.
