## About the Role Hunar.AI builds conversational AI agents that streamline screening, onboarding, activation, and engagement for the frontline workforce. As a Backend Engineer, you will work closely with Product, AI, Frontend, and Infrastructure teams to create highly scalable services, APIs, and platforms that power AI‑first hiring products. ## Core Responsibilities - Design and develop scalable backend services and RESTful APIs. - Build and maintain distributed systems supporting Voice AI and hiring workflows. - Design database schemas, optimize queries, and ensure performance. - Collaborate across teams to deliver end‑to‑end features and integrations. - Improve system reliability, observability, and performance. - Write clean, maintainable, well‑tested code and participate in architecture discussions. ## Technical Skills - **Languages & Frameworks:** Python, Django - **APIs & Databases:** REST APIs, SQL (PostgreSQL/MySQL) - **Infrastructure:** AWS (or GCP), Docker, Git/GitHub, CI/CD, Microservices - **Additional Tools:** Redis, System Design fundamentals - *Good to have:* OpenTelemetry, Kubernetes/ECS, Celery, Kafka/RabbitMQ, AI/LLM integrations, WebSockets ## What We Value - Strong problem‑solving abilities and a deep understanding of scalable, distributed systems. - Ownership, accountability, and the ability to debug complex production issues. - Writing secure, production‑quality code and following best practices for security and maintainability. - Clear communication and effective collaboration across product, AI, and engineering teams. ## Interview Process 1.
