## About the role Amazon Expansions Tech (AEE) is looking for a Software Development Engineer to work on expansions tech stacks. This platform enables the launch of new stores worldwide featuring local languages, currencies, and payment systems, driving one of the most critical initiatives across Amazon. In this role, you will design, architect, and deliver innovative technology solutions that reduce time to market and scale globally. ## What you'll do - Solve complex problems through data rapidly, designing and developing state-of-the-art software systems to address layered complexity. - Build, operate, and evolve Amazon's platform addressing challenges in distributed systems, web applications, large-scale computing, security, and algorithms. - Own inputs and business outcomes by cultivating relentless auditing and automated metric monitoring. - Improve platform build and testing processes, ensuring adherence to organizational software quality and security compliance. ## Required qualifications - 1+ years of non-internship professional software development experience. - Experience programming with at least one modern software programming language. - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent preferred. ## Additional information This is a contractual position with the opportunity to tackle massive scaling challenges at Amazon, build mission-critical tools, and potentially transition into permanent positions depending on individual performance.
