## About the Role Pine Labs is building technology that powers commerce at scale. As a **Software Engineer (QA)** you will work across backend services, APIs, frontend applications, microservices, and data systems to ensure reliable, scalable, and high‑quality products. You will collaborate with Software Engineers, Product Managers, and DevOps teams to embed quality throughout the development lifecycle. ## What You'll Do - Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for backend APIs, microservices, and frontend applications. - Build functional, regression, integration, end‑to‑end, and smoke test suites using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, REST Assured, and Postman. - Create and execute load, stress, scalability, and performance tests with JMeter, Gatling, LoadRunner, or k6. - Validate data across APIs, databases, queues, and UI layers, ensuring accuracy, completeness, consistency, and integrity. - Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps) and monitor quality across development, QA, staging, and production environments. - Participate in architecture, design, and code reviews, and define quality metrics to communicate risks to stakeholders. ## Required Qualifications - **4+ years** of experience in SDET, QA Automation, or software testing. - Strong programming skills in **Java, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, or C#**. - Hands‑on experience with backend/API and frontend/UI automation frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, REST Assured, Postman). - Proficiency in load/performance testing tools (JMeter, Gatling, LoadRunner, k6). - Solid understanding of SQL and database testing, as well as Git and CI/CD tools. - Good grasp of Agile/Scrum methodologies and strong analytical, debugging, and problem‑solving abilities. ## Good to Have - Experience testing microservices and distributed systems. - Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). - Hands‑on with Docker, Kubernetes, and observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, or Datadog. - Knowledge of security testing, message queues, event‑driven architectures, and data pipelines. ## Benefits Pine Labs offers a fast‑paced environment where you can take ownership, build with purpose, and continuously raise the bar on engineering excellence.
