## About the Role Cisco IQ Platform Team, part of CX Engineering, is building the unified foundation for Cisco’s customer experience ecosystem. As a Grade 6 Software Engineer, you will focus on software quality engineering and end‑to‑end solution testing, contributing to UI/API test automation and leveraging AI‑assisted tools to accelerate quality delivery. ## Key Responsibilities - Participate in the E2E testing lifecycle: create and execute UI/API test scripts, track defects, and maintain automated test suites for React front‑ends and back‑end APIs. - Use AI‑assisted tools for test data generation and explore no‑code automation flows. - Troubleshoot connectivity, device interaction, and data workflow issues within testing environments. - Integrate and maintain automated tests within Jenkins/DevOps CI/CD pipelines. - Support the team’s transition to Atlassian System of Work using Forge for internal quality tracking and documentation. ## Required Qualifications - 2–3 years of professional experience in software testing or development. - Strong knowledge of testing methodologies and the software development lifecycle. - Proficiency in Python or Java for automation scripting. - Hands‑on experience with at least one UI or API automation tool (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, PyTest). - Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, L2/L3) and Linux/Unix command‑line utilities. ## Preferred Qualifications - Interest or exposure to AI‑assisted testing concepts. - Familiarity with React front‑ends and API interactions. - Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams across distributed locations. - Basic exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS. ## Why Cisco?
