## About the role We are hiring Software Engineers to develop and design features for NetApp’s flagship storage operating system, ONTAP. The role involves working on distributed software that powers NetApp’s cloud, hybrid‑cloud, and on‑premises solutions. You will be part of a research and development team focused on market competitiveness, product quality, and time‑to‑market. ## What you'll do - Develop and maintain scalable test automation frameworks and infrastructure using Python. - Design, execute, and manage defect lifecycles for SAN/block storage feature validation. - Create functional, integration, stress, and scale tests for distributed storage systems. - Drive automation‑first testing approaches and improve code/test coverage across components. - Analyze failures, debug issues across software layers, and lead root‑cause resolution. ## Required qualifications - Strong programming skills in Python (mandatory). - Experience with system‑level testing and debugging of distributed systems. - Understanding of Linux/Unix systems, multithreading, and system internals. - Experience in test automation for scale, performance, and stress scenarios. - Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, test infrastructure, and modern development workflows. - Strong debugging skills across software and system layers. - Experience in storage technologies is a plus. - Typically requires a minimum of 2 years of related experience. ## Benefits & culture NetApp offers a hybrid working environment, encouraging collaboration while providing flexibility.
