## About the role Capgemini is looking for a Software Engineer to work on the development, maintenance and optimisation of software solutions. The role involves applying scientific methods to analyse and solve engineering problems and contributing to research, design, development and maintenance activities. ## What you'll do - Develop and maintain software applications following best practices in programming, software design and development principles. - Collaborate with other engineers and stakeholders, acting as a team player to achieve project goals. - Supervise or guide junior engineers on technical tasks when required. - Organise own time to deliver tasks set by the team, making decisions based on situational understanding rather than just following rules. ## Required qualifications - More than a year of relevant work experience (0‑5 years overall). - Solid understanding of programming concepts, software design and software development principles. - Ability to work with minimal supervision while producing accurate and reliable results. - Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to apply knowledge to a range of tasks. ## Benefits - Learning & Development support - Health & Wellness support - Transport/Travel assistance - Free meals - Performance bonus - Relocation assistance
